Contemporary plays can be considered modern in the sense that they reflect current societal issues, values, and cultural norms. They often incorporate modern technology, language, and themes that are relevant to today's audience. However, the term "modern" can also refer to a specific historical period in theater, typically the late 19th and early 20th centuries, so in that sense, contemporary plays may not be considered modern. Overall, the classification of contemporary plays as modern depends on the context and definition being used. **

In modern watches, a battery-powered pendulum works by converting electrical energy from the battery into mechanical energy to power the movement of the watch. The battery sends an electrical current through a coil of wire, creating a magnetic field that interacts with a magnet attached to the pendulum. This interaction causes the pendulum to oscillate back and forth, which in turn regulates the movement of the gears and hands of the watch. The battery provides a constant source of power to keep the pendulum moving and the watch functioning accurately. **

Yes, the battery in a modern smartphone with a built-in battery can be replaced. While it may be more challenging and require specialized tools and expertise, it is still possible to replace the battery. However, it is recommended to have the battery replaced by a professional technician or authorized service center to ensure the proper functioning of the smartphone. Additionally, it is important to use a high-quality replacement battery to maintain the performance and longevity of the device. **

In a battery-powered pendulum watch, the battery provides the necessary energy to power the movement of the pendulum. The pendulum swings back and forth, regulating the movement of the gears and hands of the watch. The battery sends an electrical current to the motor, which moves the gears that control the pendulum's motion. This allows for accurate timekeeping in modern watches. **

A radioisotope battery contains a radioisotope as its source of energy. These batteries are commonly used in spacecraft and remote devices where traditional batteries are not feasible. The Curiosity rover on Mars, for example, is powered by a radioisotope battery using plutonium-238. **

Alkaline batteries are generally considered to be better than zinc-carbon batteries. Alkaline batteries have a longer shelf life and higher energy density, meaning they can last longer and provide more power. They also perform better in high-drain devices such as digital cameras and flashlights. While zinc-carbon batteries are cheaper, alkaline batteries are a more reliable and efficient choice for most electronic devices. **

Modern drama typically refers to the drama that was written and produced between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, while contemporary drama refers to drama that is being written and produced in the present day. Modern drama often reflects the social and political issues of the time in which it was written, while contemporary drama reflects the current issues and concerns of today's society. Additionally, modern drama may be more focused on traditional theatrical forms and structures, while contemporary drama may experiment with new forms and styles. **

No, a battery charger is designed to charge a car battery, not discharge it. The purpose of a battery charger is to provide electrical energy to the battery in order to replenish its charge. Discharging a car battery, on the other hand, involves using the battery to power a device or vehicle, which is not the function of a battery charger. If a car battery needs to be discharged, it would typically be done by using the battery to power the vehicle or by using a specific discharging device. **
